THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFYING STUDENTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN 4-H CLUBS WITHIN HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS. A STUDENT MUST MEET ALL THE CRITERIA SET FORTH IN THE FOUNDATION'S GUIDELINES IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A SCHOLARSHIP. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO HIGH-SCHOOL GRADUATING SENIORS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS. IN ADDITION, SUMMER CAMP SPONSORSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO 4-H YOUTHS. IN ORDER TO RAISE FUNDS, THE FOUNDATION HOSTS AN ANNUAL EVENT KNOWN AS THE 4-H COUNTRY HOEDOWN.
