Mission Statement
The mission of Housing Affordability Trust is to provide financial support to qualified charities (as defined by the Trust Agreement) and Governmental Authorities (as defined by the Trust Agreement) that promote and advance housing projects for persons who are members of low-income families and very low-income families (including elderly and handicapped persons) by financing the acquisition, construction, and equipping of one or more buildings and related facilities and to promote the common good and general welfare by providing decent, safe, and sanitary housing, in each case primarily in Jefferson County, Alabama, and elsewhere throughout the United States.
