THE "I HAVE A DREAM" FOUNDATION-DALLAS ASSISTS UNDERPRIVILEGED, AT-RISK YOUTH IN LOW INCOME INNER-CITY COMMUNITIES. WE PROVIDE THEM ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO HELP THEM STAY IN SCHOOL AND COACH AND SUPPORT THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR DIPLOMA AND GO ON TO RECEIVE THEIR COLLEGE DEGREE. IN THIS WAY, WE BENEFIT THE INDIVUDUALS IN OUR PROGRAM AS WELL AS SOCIETY AS A WHOLE BY BREAKING THE CYCLE OF POVERTY AND DESPAIRTHAT GOES HAND IN HAND WITH A LACK OF EDUCATION. THE FOUNDATION TAKES A PERSONALINTEREST IN THE LIVES OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY STUDENDS FACILITATING THEIR DEVELOPMENT BY PROVIDING MENTORS, ROLE MODELS, EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS THEY MAY OTHERWISE BE DENIED.
