Mission Statement

The Ignatian Mission Center was formed in 2021 to restart a food pantry closed when a Catholic Parish in our neighborhood closed and work to reuse the campus of the closed parish as a resource for the neighborhood. While we negotiate for use or purchase of the campus we restarted the food pantry in another location. In our first year we fed 15,000 people. This calendar year we are on track to feed 27,000 people. We aim to wrap other social services around the food pantry and reuse the former parish rectory as transitional housing for women fleeing domestic violence.
