TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PRESERVATION AND STUDY OF LABOR HISTORY OF THE ILLINOIS REGION, TO AROUSE PUBLIC INTEREST IN PROFOUND SIGNIFICANCE OF THE PAST TO THE PRESENT, AND THROUGH THESE ACTIVITIES, TO SUPPORT THE GROWTH OF A VITAL LABOR MOVEMENT.
