Mission Statement

Provide free over-the-air TV and FM radio to the 35,000 residents of the Indian Wells Valley. Weak stations are received on a nearby mountain top and rebroadcast to the IWV, where residents can receive them with an antenna. These services would otherwise not be available at this remote community and are of particular value to military personnel stationed at the Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake and to disadvantaged communities. The Indian Wells Valley TV Booster was founded in the early 1950s. Mountain-top facilities are provided under license by the US Navy.
