THE ION CENTER OFFERS FREE, CONFIDENTIAL SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED POWER-BASED PERSONAL VIOLENCE SUCH AS SEXUAL VIOLENCE, INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE, CHILD ABUSE, AND/OR STALKING. WE PROVIDE THREE AREAS OF PREVENTION SUPPORT: EMERGENCY SHELTER, NON-RESIDENTIAL SERVICES AND PREVENTION AND PUBLIC EDUCATION COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. THE ION CENTER'S SERVICES FALL UNDER THREE LEVELS OF PREVENTION. EVERYTHING WE DO IS EITHER PREVENTING VIOLENCE FROM HAPPENING OR FROM GETTING WORSE. SERVICES COULD FALL UNDER MULTIPLE LEVELS OF PREVENTION BECAUSE THEY MIGHT HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY AND CONTINUE HAPPENING, EVEN AFTER THE INITIAL SITUATION HAS ENDED.
