Jamie's Run honors the short life of Jamie Lynne Knotts who died in 2010 of a rare liver cancer at 5 1/2 months old. The annual event raises money for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Connecticut Children's, to fund the search for a cure to pediatric cancers, and to lessen the emotional and financial burdens of families fighting terrible diseases.
