THE MISSION OF JERSEY CITY COMMUNITY CHARTER SCHOOL (JCCCS) IS TO PROVIDE EACH STUDENT WITH INNOVATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCES THAT DEVELOP POSITIVE INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL, AND PHYSICAL OUTCOMES. JCCCS IS FOCUSED ON PROMOTING SELF-DIRECTED, LIFELONG LEARNING SKILLS; AND FACILITATES THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO MAKE RESPONSIBLE DECISIONS. FURTHER, JCCCS IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDE A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THAT ADDRESSES THE FULL RANGE OF STUDENT'S ALTERNATIVE LEARNING STYLES. THE COMMITMENT INCLUDES EMPLOYING THE NEW JERSEY CORE CURRICULUM CONTENT STANDARDS AND ACHIEVING HIGH ACADEMIC STANDARDS FOR ALL STUDENTS. THE SCHOOL WILL MEASURE STUDENT SUCCESS BY ASSESSING SKILLS IN USE AND IN CONTEXT, AS WELL AS BY EMPLOYING STANDARDIZED TESTING. THE FOUNDATION OF THE PLAN FOR SUCCESS IS A SCHOOL- HOME-COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP TO INCREASE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION IN PROMOTING THE SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND COGNITIVE GROWTH FOR CHILDREN.
