THE MISSION OF THE JOHN BEARGREASE SLED DOG MARATHON IS TO CONDUCT THE BEST LONG-DISTANCE SLED DOG RACE IN NORTH AMERICA IN A CULTURALLY SENSITIVE MANNER, CONDUCTIVE TO GENERATING TOURISM IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA.
