Mission Statement

The mission of Kinetic Theatre is threefold: To use the language of theatre to engage the public in exploring the issues facing our diverse and rapidly changing world, to place the text, whether it be classical or contemporary, at the center of all we do, and to respect and fairly compensate the world class artists that write, perform, direct, and design our shows. Kinetic Theatre was only able to present one large-scale play in its 2023 season, the Pittsburgh premiere of Duncan Macmillan's award-winning interactive comedy, Every Brilliant Thing. The play, a comedy about depression, was presented in collaboration with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and was seen by many troubled youths and their families.
