Mission Statement

Kinhaven School is an independent, parent-governed organization with its roots in the co-op tradition. Our play-based approach develops self-motivated learners through active and collaborative exploration of the learning environment and the challenge posed by experienced teachers who support learning on a developmental timeline unique to each student. Honoring parents as children's most important teachers, we cultivate parent involvement and advocacy in influencing their children's education at Kinhaven and beyond.
