Mission Statement

Liberty Street CSA is a community supported agriculture organization intending toprimarily operate in Newburgh, New York serving the local community for charitableand educational purposes. Liberty Street CSA will partner with local farmers and the local community to provide low-cost, healthy, organic, produce to its members thereby reducing food waste and improving the access of its members, and their broader community, to healthy, organic, produce in a food desert where such options are not readily available. Liberty Street CSA also intends for a substantial portion of membership fees, and donations, to be used to provide subsidized and free healthy, organic, produce to non-member persons in the local community who have financial need. Liberty Street CSA will also coordinate with local farmers and businesses to organize community events for the promotion of healthy eating and related education about the benefits of a diet including healthy, organic, local, produce.
