Mission Statement

In the spirit of cultural generosity and with the goal of creative excellence, we create diverse communities of belonging and self-empowerment with children and youth locally and across the globe through the magic of theater, and we do it all in Iambic Pentameter. Los Angeles Drama Club has built an ongoing artistic community of children/youth who, through the creative process of "putting on a play" have found a passion, a purpose, and a safe place to express themselves and gain self-worth from their collective accomplishments. We use the diverse themes of Shakespeare, universal to the human condition, to shed light on the consequences of our choices. We are the only youth arts company in which children from across Los Angeles, and from vastly different socioeconomic backgrounds, come together for the purpose of rehearsing and performing full Shakespeare productions.
