THE MARGINAL WAY WAS OFFICIALLY PLACED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR ON MARCH 23, 2022, AND IS VISITED BY HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE EACH YEAR WHO WALK THE PATH.
