Mission Statement

THE SOLE PURPOSE OF THE MARSHALL COUNTY FAIR IS TO BENEFIT RESIDENTS OF MARSHALL COUNTY AND OTHERS WHO COME TO THE AREA. THE MAIN FOCUS OF THE BOARD IS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE YOUTH ENROLLED IN 4-H AND FFA WITH A STRONG EMPHASIS ON AGRICULTURE. THE MARSHALL COUNTY FAIR IS ONE OF THE LARGEST AGRICULTURAL FAIRS IN THE STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA. THE FAIRGROUNDS ARE USED OFTEN FOR ACTIVITES THAT SHOWCASE NON-AGRICULTURE EVENTS SUCH AS SHOOTING SPORTS, SOAP BOX DERBY AND MANY MORE. HOSTING BREAVEMENT AND BENEFIT FUNCTIONS IS ANOTHER AREA OF COMMUNITY SERVICE.ALL MONEY RECEIVED THROUGH THE FAIR AND OTHER FUNCTIONS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS GOES INTO IMPROVEMENTS OR OTHER ACTIVITES BENEFICIAL TO THE COMMUNITY AND THE FAIR.
