Mission Statement

To offer comfort-based personal, emotional, and spiritual care to guests of Mercy House; to provide support for families and friends of guests; and to coordinate community education, engagement, and involvement. The purpose of Mercy House is to provide an alternative for end-of-life care for terminally ill individuals who choose not to, or cannot, remain in their home or living environment until death. Amidst the growing caregiver crisis in end-of-life care and the inadequate resources of the healthcare system, Mercy House will be a haven of support for people in need. Mercy House will provide quality care by focusing on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of dying individuals through the end-of-life process and will be recognized in the region for this much-needed service, as well as for meaningful follow-up services for family and friends, community outreach, and strong volunteer engagement.
