THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP ON ISSUES AFFECTING THE ADVANCEMENT OF MICHIGAN'S COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES; TO FACILITATE THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS AND INFORMATION RELATIVE TO COMMUNITY COLLEGES; TO MAINTAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH BOARDS, OFFICES, DEPARTMENTS, AGENCIES, GROUPS AND ASSOCIATIONS WHICH MAY HAVE AN IMPACT ON COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGE AFFAIRS IN MICHIGAN; TO STUDY AND SUPPORT LEGISLATION THAT AFFECTS MICHIGAN'S COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES; TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION ON LEGISLATIVE AND ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS; TO REPRESENT COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES IN ALL MATTERS; TO REPRESENT AND ADVOCATE THE BENEFITS OF COMMUNITY COLLEGES FOR MICHIGAN CITIZENS; TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN THE MICHIGAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE VIRTUAL LEARNING COLLABORATIVE (MCCVLC), AN INTERNET BASED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR USE BY ALL MEMBER COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES; AND TO PROVIDE STAFF TRAINING TO COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES TO ENHANCE EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT.
