Mission Statement

Mighty Real/Queer Detroit provides a platform for artistic exploration of various queer perspectives. The organization uses the contemplative spirit of the arts to foster an understanding of the diversity of the LGBTQ+ experience, which has been historically suppressed and overlooked by traditional institutional systems. It will achieve this through programming that promotes educational, civic and cultural engagement.
