Mission Statement

MILAGRO HOUSE'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING, HOUSING AND LIFE-SKILLS TRAINING FOR WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. WHILE WOMEN ARE ENROLLED IN OUR PROGRAM, THEY RECEIVE A SCAFFOLDING OF SUPPORT TO HELP THEM ON THEIR JOURNEY TO LONG-TERM SUSTAINABILITY. THESE SUPPORTS INCLUDE FAMILY ADVOCACY, COUNSELING, LIFE-SKILLS PROGRAMMING (BUDGETING, PARENTING, NUTRITION, ETC.), WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND CAREER PREPAREDNESS.WOMEN LIVING AT MILAGRO HOUSE WITH THEIR CHILDREN ARE EITHER WORKING ON COMPLETING THEIR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION THROUGH OUR HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY PROGRAM, OR ARE ENROLLED IN A POST-SECONDARY PROGRAM OF STUDY AT A LOCAL COLLEGE OR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. WOMEN WHO GRADUATE FROM OUR CORE PROGRAM ARE ALSO SUPPORTED FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR THROUGH OUR BEYOND MILAGRO HOUSE PROGRAM.
