THE MISSION OF MONESSEN COMMUNITIES THAT CARE IS TO FORM VITAL WORKING PARTNERSHIPS WITH COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS (CONCERNED CITIZENS, PARENTS, SCHOOLS, BUSINESSES, CLERGY, LAW ENFORCEMENT, CITY GOVERNMENT, HEALTH PROVIDERS, MEDIA, CIVIC GROUPS AND OTHER COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS). WE WILL REINFORCE THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION AND HEALTHY CHOICE MAKING. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE A UNITED MESSAGE TO OUR YOUTH ABOUT THE RISKS RELATED TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE, VIOLENCE, DELINQUENCY, TEEN PREGNANCY, SCHOOL DROPOUTS, DEPRESSION/ ANXIETY. RESEARCH BASED PROGRAMMING AND PRACTICES ARE OFFERED TO REDUCE PRIORITIZED RISK FACTORS AND INCREASE PROTECTIVE FACTORS. IN THIS WAY, OUR POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT GOALS WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED.
