Mission Statement

The purpose of Moose Hall Theatre Company is to present theatre works that reflect the diversity of the American and world experience, the activities of drama, dance and music, to be presented in traditional and non-traditional venues for audiences who might not otherwise be drawn to the experience of live performance. Our purpose is also to expose the public to works of emerging playwrights through showcase and other productions, readings and similar activities. In addition, the company provides performance opportunities for professional performing artists of various cultures and origins, particularly those who would not otherwise have an opportunity to present their work in contemporary and classical productions. The core of the company's performance agenda is the Inwood Shakespeare festival which provides free outdoor classical and contemporary theatre in historical Inwood Hill Park in upper Manhattan with a culturally diverse cast in an ethnically diverse neighborhood.
