Mission Statement

NLETS provides many critical functions for the criminal justice and public safety entities in the US and Canada. NLETS is an international, computer-based multi-directional message exchange system that links together state, local, federal and international law enforcement, justice, and public safey entities for the purpose of information exchange. NLETS supports a series of networks and applications to accomplish this, and is a communication nexus facilitating the exchange of critical information betweeen a multitude of protocols and technology levels that exist within the law enforcement and public safety community.
