To promote conduct foster and facilitate collaborative fundamental and applied scientific research between academic organizations federal and state governments ocean and environmental scientists and other partners in order to more fully understand the Gulf of Mexico and Ocean Ecosystems and to apply that knowledge in furtherance of the public good.
