Mission Statement

THE NEW YORK STATE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD IS A SCIENCE ORGANIZATION THAT RUNS SCIENCE OLYMPIADS FOR STUDENTS TO COMPETE IN IN NEW YORK STATE. THE TEAMS CONSIST OF MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL B AND HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL C. TEAMS COMPETE IN 22 REGIONALS THROUGHOUT NY STATE. THE WINNERS GO TO STATE TOURNAMENTS AND THOSE WINNERS ADVANCE TO THE NATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD. THE REGISTRATION FEES FOR EACH SCHOOL ARE USED TO RUN THE 22 SITES AND THE STATE EVENTS (MEDALS,TROPHIES, AWARDS, PLAQUES, LUNCHES) NEEDED FOR 24 EVENTS.
