WE FULFILL OUR MISSION BY STEWARDING WASHINGTON PARK AND THE J.J. BYRNE PLAYGROUND BY DEVELOPING GARDENS OF NATIVE AND HISTORIC PLANTS AND GARNERING $20,000,000 FOR AN ACCESSIBLE BUILDING, AN INTERPRETIVE PLAYGROUND, AND RECREATIONAL RENOVATIONS.- ENCOURAGING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT BY PROVIDING SPACE FOR COMMUNITY MEETINGS, PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT RAISE AWARENESS OF CIVICS AND DEMOCRACY.- OFFERING CULTURAL EVENTS PROGRAMMING THAT SUPPORTS SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ARTS ORGANIZATIONS WHILE MEETING THE NEEDS AND INTERESTS OF OUR COMMUNITY.
