Mission Statement

The specific objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be to facilitate collaborative dialogue between stakeholders participating in, or directly affected by, the North American transportation system, with a concentration on railway systems. These stakeholders will include, but not be limited to, passenger and freight rail operators, rail-related businesses, employees, labor unions, trade associations, academia, local, state and federal governmental policy making entities and interested members of the general public. Its main purpose is to encourage the responsible growth and utilization of railways, a mode of transportation which makes efficient use of our natural resources with a relative minimum of environmental impact.
