Mission Statement

Opera of the Plains is a nonprofit corporation and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code. Opera of the Plains's purpose is to present well-known operatic works, modified for school age students, providing an accessible entrance into the art. Opera of the Plains will also offer performance and training opportunities for opera and musical theatre enthusiasts within the Texas Panhandle and its surrounding area.
