Mission Statement

Our Firearm Suicide prevention program focuses on reducing firearm suicide rates,particularly in rural communities, through training and increased awareness of securestorage, healthcare lethal means counseling, and increased training about awareness and usage of Extreme Risk Protection Orders.In our Metro Gun Violence Prevention program, we work to reduce homicides and shootings by increasing awareness about the importance of funding for community-based violence intervention programs, convening an equity table of tragedy prevention workers, and ensuring community members understand how gun violence is rooted in a lack of resources.Our Safe Schools program focuses on listening to and empowering youth voices andconducting research and analysis to inform and put forward recommendations to increase student safety at school and in the community. We have created a curriculum to work with youth impacted by gun tragedy informed by work with our Youth Advisory Board.
