Mission Statement

The Oregon Pain Science Alliance is an all-volunteer organization that wants to help transform the understanding of pain and provide hope and choices for individuals to improve their pain care options and outcomes, by engaging in pro-active management and mastery of their chronic pain. This is accomplished by providing life stories of pain science healthcare practice via Zoom community sessions, our website, and posting on social media platforms. The Alliance features health care professional speakers who have used pain science in their practice to help chronic pain sufferers, and and patient speakers who have found the benefit of practicing pain science techniques to help their chronic pain. The speakers are presented via community events on Zoom, 9 mos. of the year. Using Zoom, we can reach a much wider audience vs. having smaller onsite events in our local rural area. This opens the sessions to those who may not be able to travel (even if just a few miles).
