THE PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COUNCIL IS TO DEVELOP, MONITOR, AND REVISE MANAGEMENT PLANS FOR OCEAN FISHERIES WITHIN A GEOGRAPHIC REGION OF AUTHORITY, INCLUDING THE STATES OF CALIFORNIA, OREGON, WASHINGTON, AND IDAHO.
