TO PROMOTE THE INTEREST AND EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE PRESERVATION, COLLECTION, DISPLAY, AND INTERPRETATION OF HISTORIC OPERATIONAL LOGGING EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MEMORABILIA AND OTHER PERTINENT MATERIALS. A FURTHER PURPOSE IS TO RECOGNIZE THE ROLE OF THE LOGGING INDUSTRY IN THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND TO ILLUSTRATE THE EVOLUTION OF LOGGING TECHNOLOGIES AND PRACTICES FROM THE PAST AND INTO THE FUTURE.
