THE WASHINGTON ORGANIZED RETAIL CRIME ASSOCIATION (WAORCA) IS A 501(C)3 DEDICATED TO FOSTERING PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS, RETAIL - LOSS PREVENTION PROFESSIONALS, AND PROSECUTORS' OFFICES WORKING TOGETHER TO COMBAT HIGH-IMPACT OFFENDERS CONNECTED TO ORGANIZED RETAIL CRIME (ORC) IMPACTING WA STATE COMMUNITIES. THE PARTNERSHIP WILL AID IN THE SHARING OF CROSS JURISDICTIONAL INFORMATION TO HELP IDENTIFY, DISRUPT, AND APPREHEND ORC SUSPECTS IN WASHINGTON. CURRENTLY, WAORCA HAS OBTAINED A GRANT THROUGH THE WA STATE COMMERCE DEPARTMENT TO SUPPORT THE FUNDING OF A PROSECUTOR POSITION IN KING, SNOHOMISH, AND SPOKANE COUNTY THAT TARGET ORGANIZED RETAIL CRIME CASES. THE GRANT ALSO SUPPORTS FUNDING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN KING, SNOHOMISH, AND SPOKANE COUNTIES THAT TARGET ORGANIZED RETAIL CRIME. THE SPECIFIC OFFICES OR AGENCIES INVOLVED HAVE SIGNED AGREEMENTS AND SPECIFIC REQUIRES FOR DATA THAT IS REQUIRED BY THE WA STATE COMMERCE DEPARTMENT. THIS GRANT WILL END, AN
