Mission Statement

PAMOJA ART SOCIETY IS A NON-PROFIT, 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION THAT IS DEDICATED TO CELEBRATING AFRICAN-AMERICAN CULTURE, SERVING ARTISTS, AND BUILDING A STRONGER COMMUNITY. THE ORGANIZATION WAS FOUNDED IN 1977 BY A TALENTED GROUP OF ARTISTS FROM NORTHWEST LOUISIANA. TODAY, PAMOJA IS A MULTI-DISCIPLINE ARTS ORGANIZATION THAT SERVES MORE THAN 5,000 CHILDREN AND ADULTS EACH YEAR. PAMOJA CULTURAL ARTS CENTER IS THE VENUE FOR PAMOJA'S PROGRAMS AND A WIDE VARIETY OF COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES. THE CENTER IS A LEADER IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND THE REVITALIZATION OF THE LINWOOD VILLAGE, A SMALL, QUAINT BUSINESS DISTRICT IN CENTRAL SHREVEPORT.
