WE ENVISION A WORLD WHERE ALL CHILDREN WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT HAVE EQUAL ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, AND SUPPORT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE.PPV BELIEVES THAT EARLY INTERVENTION, COMPREHENSIVE VISION CARE, AND FAMILY EMPOWERMENT ARE ESSENTIAL TO OVERCOMING CHALLENGES FACED BY CHILDREN WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS. IF CHILDREN WITH VISUAL CHALLENGES RECEIVE TIMELY EYE EXAMS AND INTERVENTION, AND FAMILIES ARE EMPOWERED WITH KNOWLEDGE AND RESOURCES, THEN CHILDREN IN NEED WILL HAVE THE IMPROVED DEVELOPMENTAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND SOCIAL OUTCOMES THEY DESERVE TO THRIVE IN A VISUAL WORLD. BY PROVIDING INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION, RESOURCES, AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, PPV ADDRESSES THE IMMEDIATE NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WHILE FOSTERING LONG-TERM OUTCOMES SUCH AS ACADEMIC SUCCESS, SOCIAL EMOTIONAL HEALTH, AND INDEPENDENCE.
