AMERICORPS ST. LOUIS IS A NONPROFIT BASED IN THE SOULARD NEIGHBORHOOD OF ST. LOUIS, MO. ORIGINALLY FOUNDED AS "PARTNERSHIP FOR YOUTH, INC." WHICH REMAINS OUR LEGAL NAME, OUR PROGRAM HAS ADAPTED OVER THE YEARS TO MEET COMMUNITY NEEDS. OUR EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (ERT) HAS THREE AREAS OF FOCUS: ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION, WILDLAND FIRE, AND DISASTER RESPONSE. RESPONDING TO NATURAL DISASTERS WHEN WE ARE CALLED IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY, WHILE CONSERVATION PROJECTS ARE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. ADDITIONALLY, ACSTL PROVIDES HOMELESSNESS SERVICES INCLUDING WEEKLY DAYTIME SHELTER AND EMERGENCY OVERNIGHT WINTER SHELTER TO UNHOUSED INDIVIDUALS IN OUR COMMUNITY.
