Mission Statement

The Patuxent River Naval Aviation Museum Foundation is dedicated to the preservation of the Research, Development, Test and Evaluation history of Naval Aviation Combat Systems and the education of future generations regarding all elements of this history. The Foundation achieves its goals by supporting the archival and educational efforts of Patuxent River Naval Air Museum through the accession and distribution of resources which are typically focused on strategic issues and major growth initiatives. The Foundation will undertake a broad range of activities though various media to solicit gifts from individuals, organizations, corporations, trusts, and bequests, etc. The Foundation will also develop targeted grant proposals intended to support reservation, education and exhibit needs. All Foundation Directors, Officers and any support staff are volunteers and are not compensated any way.
