PEACEFUL FAMILY SOLUTIONS DBA PEACEFUL FAMILY OKLAHOMA (PFO) OFFERS FREE TRAUMA-INFORMED, AGE-APPROPRIATE, EVIDENCE-BASED, HOPE-CENTERED PROGRAMS THROUGH DAY CAMP AND SCHOOL-BASED MODELS FOR CHILDREN AGED 4-18. A KEY COMPONENT OF THE APPROACH IS PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT, WHICH HELPS BUILD RESILIENCE AND COPING SKILLS AMONG PARTICIPANTS, ALSO KNOWN AS PROTECTIVE AND COMPENSATORY EXPERIENCES (PACES) TO COUNTER THE CUMULATIVE NEGATIVE EFFECT OF ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES (ACES). AS THE ONLY ORGANIZATION OF ITS KIND IN OKLAHOMA, PFO AIMS TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF GENERATIONAL ADDICTION, ADDRESS STIGMA, AND FOSTER EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING FOR THE ESTIMATED 250,000 OKLAHOMA CHILDREN IMPACTED BY ADDICTION IN THEIR FAMILIES, WHO ARE EIGHT TIMES MORE LIKELY TO DEVELOP SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS THEMSELVES WITHOUT INTERVENTION. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS CONTINUING CARE TO FAMILIES VIA FAMILY SUPPORT GROUPS, VIRTUAL CAREGIVING GROUPS AND FAMILY PLAYDATES. PFO'S PROGRAMS ARE ENDORSED BY THE OKLAHOMA DEPART
