THE ASSOCIATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE CLOSER ASSOCIATION OF ITS MEMBERS; TO ENCOURAGE THE STANDARDIZATION OF LABORATORY METHODS; TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE INTERESTS OF PATHOLOGISTS; AND TO STIMULATE SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION.
