Mission Statement

To serve the public of Pitt County, NC by diversifying Pitt County's economy through the attraction of new industries, expansion of existing businesses, and support for start-up enterprises that will bring jobs and investment to our community; Will assist local governmental agencies in fostering economic development to promote opportunity, combat unemployment, community deterioration, and juvenile delinquency; Will work with local government and other organizations in the region to establish and maintain a strong business climate; Provide monetary support from the private/business sector to assist with business and industry recruitment and retention; Encourage and promote the location and operation of diversified businesses, industries, and manufacturing in Pitt County; Act independently or in conjuction with other organzations in the promotion and development of the economic and general welfare and betterment of the general public; And to provide relief to the poor, unemployed, and un
