Mission Statement

The Organization is organized for the following purposes:1.To provide planning, coordination, oversight and funding for the development of a multi-use trail system throughout Pottawattamie County, Iowa.2.To provide funding and management associated with design, engineering, construction management, master plans, studies, surveys and similar activities associated with the Pottawattamie County multi-use trail system.3.To encourage the citizens and public officials of Pottawattamie County, State of Iowa and national governmental agencies to recognize the enhancement and promotion of quality of life by providing resources to create and maintain the Pottawattamie County trail system.Trails have historically been an important recreational component for communities creating natural areas threatened by seemingly never ending population growth and development, links between rural and urban populations and enhanced quality of life through the interaction with our natural environment.
