THE QUEENS COUNTY CONFERENCE IS A CENTRALIZE BODY FOR THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS AND VISIONS AMOUNG THE VARIOUS KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCILS IN THE COUNTY OF QUEENS COUNTY, NEW YORK. THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS IS CHARITY AND CHARITABLE WORKS. THE QUEENS COUNTY CONFERENCE SERVES TWO PRIMARY FUNCTIONS TOWARD THAT END. THE FIRST IS TO HOST A "FAMILY FUN CHARITABLE AND BENEVOLENT DAY" DURING WHICH DONATIONS ARE COLLECTED FOR THE LARGER NEW YORK STATE OF THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS. AFTER EXPENSES, THE NET PROCEEDS ARE SENT TO THE NEW YORK STATE COUNCIL WHICH ARE USED FOR CHARITABLE DONATIONS TO VARIOUS CHARITIES. THE SECOND FUNCTION IS TO ENDORSING A CANDIDATE FOR AN OFFICER'S POSTION TO THE NEW YORK STATE COUNCIL. NONE OF THE FUND-RAISING ACTIVITIES IS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FUNCTION, ANY EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FUNCTION IS FUNDED THROUGH THE $30 ANNUAL DUES PAID BY THE COUNCILS IN QUEENS COUNTY TO THE QUEENS COUNTY CONFERENCE.
