REACHING UP INC.'S AIM IS TO ESTABLISH PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATION AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT OF INDIVIDUALS EMPLOYED IN THE FIELD OF MENTAL RETARDATION AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. THE ORGANIZATIONS TO WHICH REACHING UP PLANS TO AWARD GRANTS WILL ALL BE CHARITABLE EDUCATIONAL 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS. THE FUNDS RECEIVED BY THE ORGANIZATIONS WILL ULTIMATELY BE USED TO HELP STUDENT WORKERS PAY FOR TUITION, BOOKS AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS, TRANSPORTATION, STUDENT FEES,ADDITIONAL CHILD CARE AND OTHER EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH HIGHER EDUCATION.
