RECLAIM CHILDHOOD CREATES SAFE AND INCLUSIVE SPACES FOR GIRLS IN JORDAN TO THRIVE BY PLAYING SPORTS, WORKING WITH COACHES, AND BUILDING COMMUNITY. RECLAIM CHILDHOOD OPERATES REGULAR AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAMMING AND SUMMER CAMP FOR GIRLS, AS WELL AS TEEN LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS AND COACH TRAINING. ANNUALLY, RECLAIM CHILDHOOD REACHES HUNDREDS OF UNDERSERVED GIRLS AGES 6-18 FROM SEVEN REFUGEE GROUPS AND THE HOST COMMUNITY. RECLAIM CHILDHOOD HAS THREE MAIN GOALS: FIRST, TO PROVIDE A SAFE SPACE WHERE PARTICIPANTS CAN "RECLAIM CHILDHOOD AND JUST BE KIDS. SECOND, TO CONNECT COMMUNITIES THAT OTHERWISE MAY NOT INTERACT REFUGEES AND HOST COMMUNITY JORDANIANS ALIKE. THIRD, TO EMPOWER AND INSPIRE YOUNG WOMEN, BY EMPLOYING THE POSITIVE IMPACT OF SPORT AND PLAY TO TEACH THE LIFE LESSONS UNIQUELY LEARNED THROUGH ATHLETICS AND BY PROVIDING STRONG FEMALE ROLE MODELS AS COACHES.
