Mission Statement

Support to Ministries in Honduras and Guatemala that provide support and assistance to children and their families. Refuge operates a resource center, Mission Point Resource Center, in Catacamas, Olancho, that provides educational and teaching material to parents and teachers. Our primary focus is Honduras where we fund a program BECA - which is a scholarship program which supports children to go to public schools with stipends which range from $20 to $100 per month. In 2024 we supported 18 young people. We operated four feeding programs for children which provide two meals per week to approximately 180 children in Jutiquile, La Mansion, Villa Nueva, and Trujillo. We increased distribution of food baskets to needy families, distributing more than 350. A group of 31 traveled to Honduras in June and July 2024 and participated in campaigns with 22 Students from Baxter Institute and poured concrete floors in four houses and painted classrooms at two churches.
