Mission Statement

SFSR primarily serves as a referral and placement service. When we receive a Samoyed needing placement, we do our best to match the dog with an appropriate home. We base this decision on a number of factors. When evaluating a dog we consider temperament, sociability, and personality of the dog, among other things. We also look at the home environment of the prospective adoptive family, including such things as whether there are children or other dogs in the household, if there's a yard, the time commitment family members can make to the dog, etc.
