THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE REPRESENTS THE INTEREST OF OVER 250 MEMBERS, MANY OF WHOM ARE SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS. ESTABLISHED IN 1972 AS THE STOCKTON MEXICAN AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, THE CHAMBER PROVIDES ASSISTANCE IN OPENING BUSINESSES, ACCESSING CAPITAL, BUSINESS PLANS, AND LINKS MEMBERS-TO-MEMBERS THROUGH ITS MANY PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS, AND EVENTS HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IN ADDITION, THE CHAMBER SERVES AS A SOURCE OF REFERRALS FOR THE AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS NEEDING INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCAL HISPANIC MARKET AND COMMUNITY.THE CHAMBER WAS PREVENTED FROM HOLDING MANY OF THE PROGRAMS BECAUSE OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS FORCING DEFERRAL OF SOME SERVICES UNTIL RESTRICTIONS WERE LIFTED.
