TheCollaborativeSMECisanonprofitassociationofscienceandtechnologymuseumswhosepurposeistoencouragepublicinterestin,andunderstandingof,scienceandtechnologythroughthesupportofit'smembersinstitutionsinsharingandacquiringinformationandexpertisetosupportmembers'travelingandtemporaryexhibitionprograms,and,indoingso,toelevatethequalityoftravelingexhibitionsinthemarketplace.TheCollaborativewillalsoengageinrelatedactivities,whichmayincludeworkingtogethertodevelopexhibitionsandeducationsexperiences,displayingsuchexhibitionsandexperiencesinmembers'facilities,andsuchothereducationalactivitiesasmaybeappropriateandagreedtobythemembersfromtimetotime.
