Mission Statement

South Side Street Dogs and the SSSD Safehouse provide safe haven to injured and stray animals, primarily dogs, from the area of Houston known as the "South Side" which includes South Union, Sunnyside, South Acres, and South Park. The animals on the streets of this area are in desperate need of rescue and care. SSSD provides emergency vet care, food, and housing to these vulnerable abandoned pets.
