Mission Statement

The organization is the "organized medical staff" which California law requires for physicians practicing in a hospital. Its primary responsibility is oversight of the quality of care provided by members, accomplished through credentialing of applicants and members, and peer review of care, and representing the interests of members in relations with hospital administration and board. The remainder of activities involve educational programs presented to members or other interested persons and maintenance of medical library for the members. The programs focus on medical matters of interest to the membership.
